As he was thrown into the ocean
A martyr restlessly sleeps inside his heart
Trapped in a prison dark dead alone
He lies awake drifting further out
Beneath these violent waves

He drowns without a sound into the deep

Buried by anxiety a thousand feet deep inside my mind
A kind of darkness behind my eyes
That grows in size as I hyperventilate and shake
In a state that negates all of my emotions
Like a dark ocean just for a moment
I drown and sink down to the bottom of
What seems like a prison I'll never escape
I hate this disconnected effect of dealing with my demons
But even they lose grip
Maybe it's an outlook of beauty that I need to finally see
